Norfolk Snowsports Club are running some sessions in May through a Government scheme called Sportivate which gives funding to enable us to offer discounted lessons to those aged 14-25 years old. We are running a course for 14-19 year olds on Saturdays from 5th-26th May from 10-11:30am each week; a total of 6 hours which usually costs £50pp. However, due to the funding we are able to offer this for just £15pp!!!
X Factor are sending a mobile audition van to Norwich on Weds May 9th. Details of timings and exact location are still to be announced. You must be over 16 to audition. Good Luck!!** The auditions will take place at the Forum, from 10.30am – 3pm, 4.15pm if you are in full time education**

The Friends of Catton Park will be having a display at the village Jubilee celebrations on Monday 4 June. To mark the occasion we are holding a photographic competition. The competition is open to all (except members of the Friends Committee). There will be a prize for under 16′s and for 16 and over. Entry to the competition is free. Photos must be of some aspect of the Park but may have been taken at any time. To enter your photo please post or hand deliver a print to Friends of Catton Park (Photo Competition), 81 Spixworth Road, Norwich NR6 7NQ to arrive by Saturday 19 May. Please enclose your name, address, telephone number, email address and whether you are under 16 or 16+ with your entry. The print does not have to be high quality – if your photo is shortlisted we will contact you and ask for a JPG version (or a high quality print if you use film). The best photos will be displayed on our stand at the Jubilee celebrations. We may also post them to the website or use them in future newsletters. Following a 1.5 million pound facelift with a grant from Lottery Heritage, the Bridewell Museum will re open on Tuesday 3rd July. It will now be a museum telling the story of Norwich.
The Bridewell Museum is creating a huge photo mosaic wall, comprised of your photos, which will be a permanent display when the museum reopens this summer. They hope to collect over ten thousand photos spanning the invention of the camera through to today. They need YOUR help. Photos of Norwich, its people past or present, your relatives and ancestors, places that you love, your home,public buildings,your workplace or a public space you use.They also want photos of objects that relate to our city.
